  my mentally in jw wife is trying to organize a "princess party" for my 4 year old daughter and her little cousins and friends.

  she was looking at prices of a tent for the backyard party in case it rains.

  she asked the hardware store how much and they said 90 dollars for the day.

  My wife and I for years bent over back wards for our kids and grand kids and now they will not speak to us because we don't believe the cult anymore. Maybe we should have treated them like shit. By doing that they would have listen to us. Sorry subjects like this just brings up sour feeling with me. Still Totally ADD

  I can't believe what I just saw. Ten years ago that would have been considered loose conduct and everyone could have been DF. My dad in rolling in his grave now. I remember when my wife and I was married we have polka music playing and we was almost kick out for being so bad. Wt. has finally gone quackers. LOL Still Totally ADD

  Did you ever actually believe the JW fantasy version of "Paradise"?

  i am sure this topic has probably been discussed many times before but,......... i would like reassurance that i am not the only one who gagged every time i heard a jw pontificating on their fantasy version of what "paradise" will be like.

  particularly when it comes to the animals.

  more specifically, that the animals will all become vegetarians.

  DFTS I hate to say it but yes I did. Being a born in that was all I knew and I was taught never to questioned the Wt. It was not until many years later did I start looking at things in a new light. LOL Still Totally ADD

  i realize some people feel they can't just leave the religion.

  they have family, friends, position.. some elders mistakenly believe that they might be able to reform the cult from within.

  the truth is, the religion is never really going to change.

  Right on Minimus. But I do understand. I was a P.O. when I woke up and it took 2 years of very careful planning to get out. But my circumstances made it easy for me. Others on the other hand may not see a way out. This is the very thing I hate about this cult is how it messes us up by just thinking about leaving it. Still Totally ADD

  Good for you Shepherd Book. Both my and wife and I have given talks at the UU church in Jamestown about the JW cult. The congregation received it very favorable. Most did not know some of the very dangerous things that take place with the Wt. also did not know how they feel about them as being god fodder unless they become JW. They all thought they was just very friendly people trying to sell a maz. Now they know better and many now know how to engage them in a conversation that may leave doubts with them. I have no idea what song to play from the old Wt. song book. Pick something that you feel would fit your talk from there song book. They have many good songs. Best of luck with you and your talk.
